Hiking

Fresh air, fitness, peace and tranquillity, away from the hustle and bustle of towns and cities, in the company of like-minded decent people, that’s what I like about hiking.

My favourite place to visit is the lake district, and I make sure to visit each year. I have been known to stay a month at a time!

I’ve learnt that hiking is extremely good for your mental state, when you’re hiking your constantly thinking about each move you take, judging obstacles and enjoying the beauty of the nature around you.

I am a member of a local hiking group, sometimes we do short 5/6 mile evening hikes.
